ok want to be pale but i want to go out and its really sunny but i heard sunscreen makes skin darker over time so if i carry an umbrella out in the sun will it make me look redicious??
plus im really sensitive to the sun and im not really aloud out
so should i carry an umbrella out?

You won’t look dumb!!! Lots of people use umbrellas to block the sun.
I’ve never heard that about sunblock though.

Of course you won’t look ridiculous! But there’s other options…
Sunscreen will keep you from getting sunburned, so of course wear sunscreen! Even if it does make your skin darker, it’ll still keep you from getting burnt. (Plus– darker skin looks WAY more healthy.)
You can also try wearing a floppy hat…

You’ll look ridiculous if you use a RAIN umbrella. Get some sort of parasol and you’ll look stylish under the sun!

Sunscreen does not make your skin darker over time. Not wearing sunscreen causes your skin to prematurely age due to sun damage. Wear 30+ SPF sunscreen every single day, wear a hat, use an umbrella. SPF 50 is best.
There is NO truth to sunscreen use making your skin darker, and whoever told you that has no idea what they’re talking about.

I would not think you were weird. If you are sun sensitive and you don’t want your skin damaged by the sun, then do what you need to do to protect yourself.
Now if you wanted to wear one of those odd looking umbrella hats, that would look weird. LOL

They have these things called “sunbrellas” that are made specifically to deflect the most heat and UV rays. These are silvery on top, like the sun shades you put on your dashboard.
They work great and keep you from sweating profusely when walking on hot days. Sweating like a pig would give a worse impression than using a sunbrella.
I got a small one for $9.99 at a truckstop, but I just did a search online and you can buy big ones on Amazon.

Unfortunately yeah, you’ll look kinda ridiculous carrying an umbrella or parasol in US. You’d be better off wearing a hat with a brim at least 5″ to give your neck and face extra protection. And some of the wide brim hats are pretty, too!
Also, look for sunblocks with high UVA protection. I use Bioderma Photoderm MAX Lait SPF 50/PPD 30+, which has excellent UVA wavelength protection. Sunscreens won’t make you darker, though. Skin darkening is caused by the sun, not the sunscreen. The problem with getting dark while using sunscreens is that they are underapplied and many are non-photostable and weak for protecting skin against UVA wavelengths.

do it with a lot of people so people think your trying to make a new trend or something who knows mabe you will. Totally go for it anyway if nobody wants to do it with you. Or you could just use a hat.
