Safe, Comfortable Bedtime on the Go
The PeaPod P101 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your baby’s bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent “pod,” which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access. Baby can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy’s UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad.
Travel Light
The last thing you need while you’re traveling with a baby is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack’n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 14 x 5 x 14 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 47 x 30 x 19 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination.
The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to “snap” it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you’re traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend’s house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.

Baby Beach Tent question by Lil Vinny is growing up so fast!: first time mommy taking baby to beach?
my family are going to the beach late june, he’ll be 4 months old at that time. what should i keep in mind and be prepared with? swim diapers? i have swimwear, hats, and sunglasses, all with sun protection, for him already. my mom wants to buy him a play tent but is it really needed if he likes to move around a lot and we’re planning to take him out only before 10am and after 5pm?
any advises and tips are appreciated!

Lol… you’re definitely a first time mom… You can take him out between 10-5, as long as he’s in the shade and stays hydrated.
You don’t need the tent, but it’s a cute thing to have and he may like it. Just bring a big umbrella and hang out with him there. He’ll probably love the water! Have fun! And RELAX!

Well, Mom, it looks like you’ve gotten everything covered. Take some snacks for him (which i’m sure you will) and the little tent thing does seem like a good idea.
Since you have your Mom going with you, at least you’ll have some help looking after him while carrying all your things.
Have a good time!
ehm... yup @ 10:49 pm
Yes a playtent will def. save you sanity.. I know… and lots of thin blankets to cozy up the inside .. get him a full peace suit of shorts and shirt with the uv.. you won’t need a whole lot of swimmies.. and you basically got the rest.. remember at this age he will really just lay around and taste the sand… so that tent will give him his own lil cool shaded place with some toys and an open front to hang with everyone else.. perfect for naps
Oh and I didn’t even buy the swimmies .. i bought the washable diapers and bring two or ..gross dump in the toilet and rinse if needed
mommy style

sunscreen sunscreen and sunscreen. Slather the little dude down even the spots that wont get any sun. (You never know)
Watch out for the sand it gets HOT quick. otherwise enjoy. The tent isn’t a bad Idea as long as the breeze can get through it.

Well depending on how far away you live from the beach, I think will be your biggest problem. All of the things you have listed are very important, but it looks like you have a handle on those.
When I took my son, at 1 yr, my biggest problem ended up being the drive there. I live about 12 hours from the beach and let me tell you they were the longest of my life. If your child is a good rider in the car, fall asleep type you will be fine. MIne was not!
Best advice I can give for the drive is leave at night right around bed time so he will sleep on the way. Maybe you can make it there by morning when he wakes up. Giving the age make sure you bring plenty and then extra diapers, wipes, and formula. Schedule feeding times and stops where your going to feed him/her at. I found it also helpful to designate a diaper changing station in the car. So your not having to use those nasty baby changing stations in the public restrooms. In this station make sure to have diapers and wipes accessible. No luggage so you have room to lay the baby down to be comfortable.
Also we got a dvd player for the car to keep the child sorda entertained when he did wake up.
Make sure to take a play-pin, bassinet, or something for the child to sleep in so it’s not in the bed with you waking you up every 5 minutes. Don’t forget blankey’s, stuffed animals, or maybe a small music playing mobile with you.
Plus remember anything he/she needs at home, they will need on your trip. Good luck!
