i am planning on wearing a 5 inch brim echo floppy beach hat to walk around in the sun for a couple hours. if it shades my face do i still need sunscreen? if so, how much?

yes you should wear sunscreen even though you will wear the hat,
the uv rays are still going to damage your skin somehow,
and you should dab a small portion throughout your face,
and your body, btw have fun!

A beach hat won’t take care of reflection from the sand. What you’ll need is at least SPF 15. What I actually use is Vitamin C “powder”. I just dump it in my hand and mix it with whatever lotion is good and smear it on. It Worlks Great (lets me tan instead of freckle or burn). Only negative is, the “powder” is actually granules. You’ve got to be careful how you spread it. (I guess that’s true of everything.)
