Important Note Before Opening Tent:
In order to easily open and hook the security lock on top, it is helpful to first unzip the front door and windows to allow air to flow freely through the tent. Our push-up tents are packaged so that all doors and windows are closed and zipped upon arrival, making it more difficult to open when air is still trapped within. Please remember to unzip the openings prior to setting up the tent to make pushing up and securing the tent as easy as pushing up an umbrella.

Beach Tents question by firefly: What do you call those huge shade things on the beach that have four long poles and a tent like roof?
I’ve searched under beach tent and beach cabana and neither one seem to be what they’re called because I can’t find them.
They fit many people underneath, they have a long pole on four corners, probably like 8 feet high or so and then at the top there is a square or rectangle tent-material-like shade covering. I’ve seen people using them on many beaches but can’t even find one online. Help!

My husband and I have 2 kids – a 3 year old and a 9 month old. We are taking our first family vacation in June (YAY) and we are going to the beach in Florida. I am excited because my kids have never seen the beach or ocean and I think they are going to LOVE it.
Well, a couple of weeks ago my husband mentioned that he don’t think it’s good idea to take our youngest son because he’s so young. (we are going the weekend after he turns 1). He said he thinks he may get sunburned too bad or anything could happen and thinks his skin is too sensitive still and all that. My argument is that I don’t want to go on a family vacation without him. He will have a blast and I have already planned to keep him lathered with sunscreen the entire time. We are also taking a large umbrella so the kids will have shade while playing on the beach. He won’t remember it but, he will have a blast while there. My 3 year old has light skin too, so I think if we are taking him then the youngest one should come too. I am just REALLY looking forward to playing with them on the beach and can’t imagine him not being there.
So, is a 1 year old too young to go to the beach?? How can I convince my husband that he will be okay. Any other tips on how to keep the kids safe while on vacation would be appreciated as well, because, like I said, it’s our first vacation! Thanks in advance!

I have already bought him a hat too. I told my husband that in 10 years when we were all looking at Pictures of this vacation I could not explain to my youngest son why he was left behind. Thinking about that breaks my heart. I am hoping he will be walking by then too, so it will be easier on all of us
