yes it should be fine check with your babies doctor just to be sure he is there for that reason be sure you do not over cloth the baby blankets will probally not be neccisary(sp) but make sure to take sunblock even though you will be under the shade you can never to be to catious with the baby and u may also wanna have an extra set of eyes so that you may enjoy the shore (ie. more than just ur spouse or significant other)

ask the dr but I would think its fine just don’t let her get to hot and make sure she’s wearing sunblock

Stacey O @ 2:56 pm #

Don’t put sunblock on a baby, it is unhealthy, check with your dr. Since suntan lotion is out, you should use one of those pop up covers. Its not just the sun shinning down, the sun reflects off the sand and the water. There is always enough breeze coming off the water, I wouldn’t worry about a fan. Hopefully your renting so you don’t have to stay all day and can take a couple of breaks during the day.

Yes, lots of people take babies to the beach, even into the water. Just use the tent/umbrella and fan all the time unless you take baby into the water for a few minutes. Make sure baby is dressed very lightely, even just in a diaper, and make sure baby is also drinking formula or breastmilk on a good schedule so as not to get dehydrated. Most like baby will sleep much of the time. And of course – don’t ever leave her alone.
Check with your doctor about using sunscreen on a baby that young though. Most recommend waiting until 6 months.

I would say no. It’s just too hot and they skin is so sensitive. But check with your pediatrician.

BLOODHOUND @ 3:56 pm #

sure you can take your baby to the beach.make sure you have shade for him/her.have fun. wish i was going with you.

Doodlestuff @ 4:23 pm #

I think it’s perfectly fine unless the air temperature is quite hot where cooling the baby would be difficult. However, beaches vary considerably (Cape Cod has completely different weather conditions from Malibu), so I would check with your doctor regarding your local conditions and the safety.

You can be more careful by going to the beach before noon and after 4 pm.
